FROM SEPTEMBER 1, 2025, PERSONAL DATA OPERATORS WILL HAVE A NEW OBLIGATION - TO TRANSFER, AT THE REQUEST OF THE MINISTRY OF DIGITAL DEVELOPMENT, COMMUNICATIONS AND MASS MEDIA, DEPERSONALIZED PERSONAL DATA TO THE STATE INFORMATION SYSTEM
The Law on Personal Data has been supplemented with new provisions providing for the provision of anonymised personal data to the state information system of the ministry by personal data operators at the request of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, which will be determined by the Government of the Russian Federation.
As previously explained by the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media, the implementation of the novels will contribute to the development of technologies. At the same time, the introduced norms exclude the possibility of identifying such data to a specific subject of personal data. The department's statement emphasizes that no one - neither the state nor business - will be able to find out specific information about a person.
