CRIMINAL LIABILITY WILL BE INTRODUCED FOR ILLEGAL CIRCULATION OF PERSONAL DATA
Criminal liability will be introduced for the illegal circulation of computer information containing personal data, as well as the creation and provision of functioning of information resources for its illegal storage and distribution.
A more severe punishment will be imposed if the act is committed in relation to information containing personal data of minors, special categories of personal data or biometrics, if the crime was committed out of profit-seeking or by a group of persons in collusion, using official position, as well as causing major damage, associated with cross-border transfer of information and (or) cross-border movement of media, for a crime that entailed grave consequences or was committed by an organised criminal gang.
